A new friend asked me if I'd take pictures of her riding on her ranch, so I did. I've never done this before and certainly don't do many action shots. I learned a lot and hope to have another crack at it.

Usually the black-crowned night herons (Nycticorax nycticorax) sit very still on a branch, they look like a stuffed bird! But this time there was some action: one of the 3 black-crowned night herons moved and actually opened its wings. A good photo opportunity!

Famous Washington St. with it's iconic view of the Manhattan Bridge, and if not for one of the unsung brilliant Mayor's of NYC D.Dinkins this Bridge would have been in the river.
But historic pov, streets called Washington St. for at the waters bank at streets end G.W made his retreat to Manhattan with his troops to keep fighting for another day. As a true leader he ferried on the last boat to Independence of a nation.
Cold and lots of sun shine. 35+ eagles around and as many as 15 on the ground at one time. When action starts it becomes hard to make a decent crop. Here is one.
The first I acquired from my good friend, Marshall.
The other two, I've created. Just thought I'd let you guys see them used here.

Atkinson Action Horses performed a spectacular display at the Driffield Agricultural Show You will have seen the horses on the TV series Poldark
This shot was taken with the horse moving quite quickly against the side rail. The arena sides were packed with a very appreciative audience.
Taken in captivity, this young Harvest mouse is part of a captive breeding programme. The mice are a UK Biodiversity Action Plan species due to severe declines in their numbers, when old enough mice are being released back into suitable sites in the wild.
They are the only British animal with a prehensile tail making them remarkably agile (and quick!) climbers. When fully grown the adults weigh only 4-6 grams with a head/body length of 5-7cm and their tail a similar length again. For a sense of scale, the flowers (which I think are a kind of Hawk's-beard) are a similar size to dandelions.
It's a draft - I'm not going to spend too much time on finishing touches of the details because I make all these things as part of a (long) learning process in order to eventually be able to create realistic looking scenes.
Software: Blender 2.92 (it's free)

Blender is undergoing a structural make-over towards "everything nodes". This means that everything that has so far been done by using modifiers, will be done with nodes. Or: I have to unlearn much of what I have learned so far and learn a whole new workflow instead. But this whole make-over that Blender is currently rolling out in stages, makes Blender even more powerful, more versatile and more flexible so it definitely is worth it.
First on the agenda: learning all about geometry nodes, new in Blender 2.92
